If you thought CTA was broke - think again.
Chicago's always-seemingly-strapped-for-cash public transportation monopoly, is planning to spend an estimated 1.4 billion dollars on extending the Red Line.
If the project is completed, four new "L" stops will be added to the Red Line's southbound destinations: 103rd, 111th, 116th, and 130th street "L" stations would be added to the route.
The extension should begin within the next few years and be completed by 2016.
