Around 11:45 pm, an 8-year-old boy was shot in the head as he and his mother were driving on Western Ave., near 65th street.
The boy’s mother said she was driving when she heard her widow shatter. Immediately, she noticed her son had been shot, and drove him to the hospital. Luckily, the bullet only grazed the boy’s head.
No word on the child’s immediate condition.
