Authorities were notified around 4:21 a.m., after the alleged victim entered the lobby of a residence on the 60 block of East Lake Street and asked for help.
According to an unconfirmed report, someone hit the woman in the back with a metal shovel.
A witness, who spoke exclusively with Chicago News Report, said the woman claimed a nearby 7-Eleven clerk attacked her.
However, the tipster also said, to the best of his knowledge, the police never questioned the clerk.
CNR contacted the 7-Eleven at 58 East Lake Street (the location of the alleged incident).
The man who answered the phone said he was unaware of the situation.
According to our informant, the alleged victim did not appear to be homeless, mentally ill or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The woman was taken away in an ambulance, said our source.
Everyblock is back! Remember the hostile, Nazi moderation team, the intense blinding liberalism and the foolish, misguided people who refuse to see the truth. Don't patronize that website, we learned our lesson long ago, right, kids?
