North Side: Man robbed at gunpoint while 'walking home'

A Chicago man was robbed while walking home on the Far North Side, said police.

The armed robbery occurred around 1 a.m. on the 6300 block of North Sacramento Avenue, near Sacramento and Rosemont, in the city's West Ridge, West Rogers Park neighborhood.

The victim had parked his car and was walking home, when two Hispanic males, one of them carrying a gun, robbed him of his wallet, said police.

The gunman was wearing a brightly colored sweatshirt with patches on it.

Both offenders are believed to be 20 to 25-years-old.

After the robbery, the crooks fled eastbound on Rosemont from Sacramento.
