A Chicago police officer is being criticized for his behavior during a traffic stop at an unidentified Chicago car wash.
In a 23-seconds-long YouTube video, a Windy City cop is seen brandishing his weapon, while instructing a male subject to "get the fuck out of the car!"
When the male subject exited the vehicle, the officer used his foot to spread the subject's legs apart, then the officer allegedly slammed the male subject's head against the roof of the vehicle.
According to Rigo-ntobi, the YouTube user who uploaded the footage, the officer harassed the man for no apparent reason.
"This guy pulls up to the car wash, not knowing that some of Chicago's finest were following him for no reason," said Rigo.
"After violently searching him and his car, they yelled at him for a bit, and then they left. He's lucky he wasn't arrested for someone made up crime."
Could somebody explain to me black people's fixation with car washes? They seem to be really happy loitering there and aren't even as high or drunk as they are when they're begging in other places.

ReplyDeleteNone of you, including "Rigo" have any idea of what was going on before this cop stopped the car, or why he pulled them over or what was going on in his mind as he stopped them. Pulling into a place like a car wash would be a great way to try and elude a squad car that is following you. Maybe the car fit the description of an earlier drive-by, the officer is trying to run the plate or something, and the driver(of a what looks like very clean vehicle that doesn't need to be washed)pulls quickly into the car wash. Great job by the officer for pulling his gun and protecting himself so that he could go home to his family after his shift. The last thing this city needs is anymore dead police officers.
ReplyDeletea 23 second YouTube clip simply doesn't tell any part of this story. We don't know what the driver may have done, we don't know if that vehicle was under surveillance (perhaps it was part of a crime investigation, for example), and we don't know anything about the history of the driver - the cops may know, for example, that he's a known gangbanger and has had violent arrests.
ReplyDeleteSo the speculation from the poster of this video is no more valid than the speculation I just put up. Again, a 23 second clip tells us nothing. You could put up a 20 second clip of the surviving Boston Bomber getting handcuffed on the ground, surrounded by cops with guns drawn, and come to the conclusion that HE was being needlessly harassed, too.
Also, how stupid is the videographer for walking around this scene & taking the video? As far as he knows there are guys with guns hiding in the vehicle, and there could be a shootout. He very well may have put himself into the line of fire. Not smart at all.

You only get respect from people you encounter if they relate to you at their level. If you deal with someone who is used to living life rough, then you need to swear, yell and possibly shake them up a little just to get their attention. As far as ghetto ness....imagine what kind of reaction and respect this cop would have received if he kindly walked up to the window and said....Excuse me dear sir, how are you today, My name is Officer J Smith and I was just wondering if you would cooperate with me?....If you’re in a ghetto neighborhood you better act even more ghetto than who you encounter. As far as wearing blueness on their sleeves….. If you’re a cop, your blood better be blue not red. The cops that don't wear the blue on their sleeves are the dirty ones that nobody wants around. As far as the G.E.D. shining through, I think this cop is genius for recognizing how he needs to react to take complete control of a possible deadly situation especially when he is on his own with a carload of thugs and some idiot behind him with a video camera. Great piece of professional police work? We need to see more video’s like this…..

It's refreshing to see real men for a change instead of the whiny, broke, effeminate, losers that live in Rogers Park and pretty much the whole lake front with the exception of the Gold Coast. Sorry to break it to you anon @12:00 PM but all cops have more education than a GED, and they are a lot smarter than you think. Since the CPD pays to further their education some take advantage and get degrees. Plus a lot of cops own businesses, commercial properties, and invest in the markets. Dont ever underestimate someone's intelligence.
