According to police dispatch reports, the armed robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven at 1404 West Pratt Boulevard, near Pratt and Glenwood.
A black male in his 40s entered store, displayed a knife with an 8-inch blade, stole $50 from the register and two packs of Newport cigarettes, said police.
Citing various sources, the crook was wearing a tan or gray-colored sweatshirt.
Authorities said the bandit was last seen headed toward the Morse “L” station.
The clerk on duty Tuesday evening, around 7:30 p.m., said he wasn't aware of the robbery.

ReplyDelete...and how's that cigarette tax working out? People were damn near assaulted for them on the street before. I'm waiting for the first murder over a cigarette in $hitcago (or a "sqaure" or whatever silly stupid name that city comes up with for any and everything but, hey, at least they don't call them a fag as the "neighborhood" would stage a protest over that....nevermind getting a job or cleaning the blood off the sidewalks).
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't stage a protest, I'd just smash your jaw in with a bike lock. Problem solved.
DeleteThere was a violent spook who knocked most of the teeth out of a woman's mouth because she didn't have a cigarette.
