Random police calls: 03/30/2013

The following 911 calls were made on March 30, 2013. The accuracy of these calls have not been verified; this is merely an unofficial log of the complaints made with the Chicago Police Department.

2:14 p.m. - Two black female suspects were accused of shoplifting, stealing from the Rogers Park neighborhood Marshalls department store at 7507 North Clark Street.

3:27 p.m. - A white male subject carrying a black backpack was seen climbing a "tall" tree at Montrose Harbor. A concerned citizen was afraid the man might injure himself. A police dispatch operator referred to the tree-climber as "spider man."

3:34 p.m. - Three Hispanic, male gang members were reported for creating a disturbance on the corner of North Clark Street and West Wallen Avenue in Rogers Park.

3:42 p.m. - Police responded to an alleged dispute at Cash America Pawn, 3900 North Broadway.

5:10 p.m. - Cops were told to pay special attention to Loyola Park, 1230 West Greenleaf, in Rogers Park.

5:15 p.m. - Second floor burglary reported at 1410 West Juneway Terrace.

5:21 p.m. - An estimated 15 children were seen ripping up the padding at the Eugene Field Elementary School playground, 7019 North Ashland Avenue.

5:37 p.m. - In Uptown, two males were fighting outside Cornerstone Community Outreach, 4628 North Clifton Avenue.

5:38 p.m. - A large group of black males and Hispanics males were fighting in the street on the 6100 block of North Washtenaw Avenue. One Hispanic suspect was wielding a shovel.

5:42 p.m. - At Hazel and Sunnyside, a group of black male teens were seen trying to break into a purple minivan, while a 10-year-old black male acted as the "lookout." A minute later, another 911 caller reported a gang disturbance at the same location.

5:47 p.m. -  A brawl was reported at the CTA Wilson Red Line stop at 4620 North Broadway. According to police dispatch, two male passengers were fighting on the platform.

5:58 p.m. -  A fight, or a possible gang initiation, was reported at Bronco Billy Playlot, 4437 North Magnolia, in Uptown.

6:35 p.m. - A female shoplifter was arrested at Target, 4466 North Broadway.
