The strong arm robbery occurred around 1:08 a.m. at the intersection of 800 West Sheridan Road and 3900 North Broadway.
Two black male offenders knocked the woman down and stole her black purse, according to police dispatch reports.
One thief was wearing a large white T-shirt and denim shorts. A description of the second suspect was not provided.
According to a responding officer, the thieves fled westbound on West Sheridan Road, then northbound on North Wilton Avenue.
However, Wilton Avenue runs southbound from West Sheridan Road, and there no northbound alleys at Wilton and Sheridan; which means the suspects probably fled southbound on Wilton from Sheridan.

ReplyDeleteAnd those cameras have been how effective on Halsted St. and Broadway/Belmont? What exactly is their purpose other than to remind you you're in a bad area?
ReplyDeleteThose cameras don't do anything. Half the time they aren't even working, why waste city funds..
