Being groped by security at the airport is nothing new, but how do feel about being frisked at Union Station?
On July 5, 2012, YouTube user 1776umphreys videotaped Transportation Security Administration agents, also known as TSA, setting up a security checkpoint at an Amtrak terminal in Union Station.
"This is just another example of how TSA expanding their operations and entering Train Stations, Bus terminals, and major sporting and concert events," said 1776umphreys. "Will Americans allow TSA (to) bring their intrusive Pat Downs on the road or finally take a stand and say NO!!"
They'd better buy me dinner first.
ReplyDelete(I bet the airlines are lobbying for this because they think airport patdowns put them at a competitive disadvantage.)
Why don't they pat down all the people that "live" outside Union Station that have no intention of boarding a train.
ReplyDeleteI think TSA is checking amtrak because of the SUMMER OLYMPICS.
ReplyDeletebut there just checking passengers that are taking trains to London england
Looking for Wizards boarding trains to Hogwarts
ReplyDeleteI think it's a good idea. When terrorists take out a train, that fat gay guy on the video will be screaming for more security.
ReplyDeleteThe TSA should take lessons from China, there the security lines are staffed by beautiful Chinese woman. I actually enjoy the patdown.
ReplyDeleteGood point, bud.
DeleteWhy is this "unbelievable?" The guy who took the video is simply being a whiny drama queen.
ReplyDeleteWhy not check people before they got onto Amtrak? They're carrying bags and suitcases, so why not?
The El and Metra would be a whole different ball of wax though because it would be too disruptive since trains are running sometimes every few minutes.
Why don't we just get rid of all security measures and the entire TSA??? Let's make all the whiney pussies happy. Hell, between 1968 to 1987 there were only 674 hijackings. But, if you take away my TSA, then I should be able to carry my guns at all times everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteyou actually don't necessarily have a 1st amendment right to record video anywhere you please as the video recorder implies, and in this city you could need a permit even so.
ReplyDeleteThis is the worst video ever made....
ReplyDelete@7:01am - could this lack of "permit" be used in the recent video taken of the black-on-white mob beating Lakeview "case"?
ReplyDeleteI've noticed one of these first amendment rights "artists" took his photostream off of flickr recently. He "photoshopped" me without a hat and added some hair. It looks ridiculous. He's really outspoken about his "rights" and that's how I discovered that sneaky (he admits that he is) "shot".
They really need to put those mushrooms, LSD and weed down here and go back to their farms or realize they are just a service worker and NOT an "artist".
Best thing you can do to get through TSA quickly ---- Get a boner ;)
ReplyDeleteSorry ladies I dont know what you can do.
