West Rogers Park: Woman robbed on Touhy Ave.

Chicago’s rainy weather didn’t stop thieves from robbing a woman on the city’s Far North Side, said police.

Around 10:53 p.m., a woman’s purse was stolen near the intersection of 2700 West Touhy and 7200 North Washtenaw Avenues, in the West Rogers Park, West Ridge neighborhood, according to police dispatch reports.

Authorities said two black male offenders approached the victim, one of them implied he had a gun, and took the victim’s property.

The thieves, who were wearing black t-shirts and black pants, fled the scene northbound on Washtenaw from Touhy.

At the time of this report, the thugs were still at large.
