Around 1:37 a.m., a strong arm robbery was reported near West Devon and North Artesian Avenues, in the city’s West Ridge, West Rogers Park neighborhood.
The offenders, a male black wearing a black t-shirt and a female (no physical description given), forcibly stole a male victim’s iPhone and his money, said police.
After the robbery, both suspects fled the scene northbound on Artesian from Devon, according to police dispatch reports.
At 1:45 a.m., authorities apprehended the thieves near Artesian and Albion.
Investigators said the victim positively identified both offenders.
On Wednesday, May 23, 2012, a man and a woman were arrested for a similar crime in Rogers Park.
