1 arrest after ‘child’ robbed in Rogers Park

A victim, whom authorities repeatedly referred to as a kid or a child, was robbed in Chicago’s Far North Side, Rogers Park neighborhood.

A Chicago police officer was flagged down near the intersection of West Pratt Boulevard and North Greenview Avenue, around 8:40 p.m.

The responding officer said a “kid” was attacked and robbed by four male offenders.

One mugger was described as a male black wearing a blue and white jacket riding a mountain bike.

At approximately 8:42 p.m., a police officer apprehended the bike-riding suspect a few blocks south on West North Shore Avenue.

The suspect was placed under arrest after the victim positively identified him as one of the robbers.

Three additional offenders are still on the loose, said police.
