
Around 12:26 a.m., a man was robbed in the middle of the 2900 block of West Estes Avenue, between Francisco and Sacramento Avenues, in Chicago's West Ridge, West Rogers Park neighborhood, said police.
Three male black offenders took the victim’s wallet and they tried to take his wedding ring and his watch, according to police dispatch reports.
Investigators said the crooks fled the scene in a dark blue Toyota or Nissan with a “loud muffler”.
The getaway car was last seen going eastbound on West Estes Avenue.
At 12:41 a.m., authorities stopped a vehicle occupied by three male blacks, about eleven blocks south of the robbery, at Western and Rosemont Avenues.
As of 12:54 a.m., it was unclear if any arrests had been made.
