A lone gunman chased another man around in broad daylight outside a North Side department store, said police.
At 3:31 p.m., police were notified that an armed offender was pursuing a victim near the intersection of North Hoyne Avenue and West Norwood Street, behind the North Side Target store at 2112 West Peterson Avenue.
When police arrived, they located the victim near an alley at Seeley and Norwood.
The victim was unarmed and there was no indication the gunman actually fired his weapon.
Investigators described the offender as a tall, skinny male Hispanic with long hair and tattoos.
The suspect was wearing a tank top, according to a responding officer.
As of 4:20 p.m., the motive behind this incident was unknown and the offender was still at large.

So whats the projected date we have to call the National Guard to Chicago this year?
ReplyDeleteI like that comment it sounds comical but its the truth!
DeleteWow thats pretty crazy! I was guessing it would be the Uptown target, not that one. Maybe it was a good thing officers shop there while on duty???
ReplyDeleteThe cops shop at the Uptown Target.
ReplyDeleteHow ironic the target was at a Target.
ReplyDeleteThats crazy because that particular Target is very safe to me. I live just east nearby in West Edgewater and thats my go-to store. Even at night I feel safe walking there and back right before they close at 11pm. Shocked to hear this...
