Cops: Man shot near Albany Park liquor store

Around 1:16 a.m., a gunshot victim walked into Illinois Masonic Hospital after he was wounded in the 17th police district, said authorities.

According to investigators, the victim was shot in the leg outside a liquor store near West Montrose and North Kimball Avenues.

Based on a Google search, Buy Low Liquor Store at 3360 West Montrose, is located at that intersection.

The exact time of the incident is unclear, but prior to being alerted to the gunshot victim at Illinois Masonic, authorities were investigating an earlier shooting on the 4400 block of North Kimball Avenue... that shooting happened about an hour before police were told about the patient at Illinois Masonic.

Investigators believe the two incidents are related.

  1. i hope the shooter has better aim next time, according to the tribune reports, the victim was uncooperative, probably another gangbanging piece of garbage that soils this otherwise pretty nice hood
