At 9:26 p.m., an officer patrolling the area noticed smoke coming from a building at 511 West Belmont Avenue.
Authorities said two doors had to be forced open and the smoke appeared to be related to someone “cooking”.
However, officials did not say there was an actual fire.
During the investigation, traffic was blocked at Sheridan and Belmont, and Broadway and Belmont.
Firefighters were leaving the scene by 9:37 p.m.

Is everything considered "Boystown" from Ashland to the lake now? There are more straight people and obvious Section 8 in the general vicinity of this building than gays. Oh, and Mexican ho's "working" 24/7 in some of those buildings probably aren't there for the "boys" of Boystown. Want the audio? Happy Diversity, Chicago style.

There are more weed tokin' straights (damn near lighting the buildings on fire) and very obvious Section 8 in the general vicinity of this building than gays. Oh, and Mexican ho's "working" 24/7 too. Want the 4am audio? How's those "condo" values and property taxes working for ya?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, good to know we've got a responsive fire department. Thought I had to call them the other night but the the "tenants" obviously got it under control and sprayed the latest trendy fad in colognes all over the hallway so we can enjoy the aroma of burnt fish and the knock off version of CK's Obsession for the next month.
Happy Diversity (Chicago style anyway).
