Cops: ‘Doctor’ kicks out Lakeview business’ window

Police responded to a report of criminal damage to property in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, early Friday morning.

At approximately 1:48 a.m., a white male offender broke a window at American Signs By Tomorrow, located at 3461 North Clark Street, between Cornelia and Newport, said police.

Investigators said the man used his foot to break the window.

At 2:04 a.m., an ambulance was requested at 3355 North Clark Street. The requesting officer said the offender was at that location and he was bleeding from the ankle.

Police identified the offender as “Dr. Halsted”.

However, it’s unclear if the man is a medical doctor.

Police dispatch was instructed to tell the medical staff at Illinois Masonic Hospital that Dr. Halsted was being transported there for medical treatment.

No further details are available.

  1. Dr. Halsted is probably some kind of rap name.
Besides, if you hold a PHd you should know to huck a heavy object into the thing you want to break, not kick it!

  3. I think anybody who goes on a talk show announced as a "rapper and actor" should be booed off stage.

I think you're mistaking him for Dr. BrownEye.

Halsted is a fraud! A charlatan who bought his degree from the Virgin Islands! I will not have my good name sullied by association with that phony!

  8. You've got Dr. Dirty Sanchez and/or the restaurant confused with Dr. Halsted. Dr. Halsted is good but keep in mind you no longer have to get probed for a prostate exam anymore. It's now done via blood test. Sigh.

  9. Just because, "you no longer have to get probed for a prostate exam anymore," doesn't mean that Dr. BrownEye DOESN'T recommend a good probing.

  10. Oh, he must be a "Medical Marijuana Doctor" from the West coast. His Kush clinic was closed down and now he is back in the Chicago area pissed off because it's winter.

  11. Why does the article have NO trouble saying "white male offender" but the same newspaper has software installed that doesn't let a reporter print the word "black"?
