The theft occurred at the CVS Pharmacy at 344 West Hubbard Street, near Hubbard and Kingsbury, around 5:48 p.m., said authorities.
Investigators said two male black offenders stole seven to eight bottles of “hard liquor” from the retailer.
Both suspects were wearing black leather jackets and one of the thieves appeared to be homeless, said a responding officer.
According to initial police dispatch reports, the booze-boosting-bandits were last seen going eastbound on Hubbard, then northbound on Franklin.
Not blaming the victim but.... Be a little more suspicious of homeless people in a liquor store. It's called criminal profiling, and it WORKS.

ReplyDeleteWe should give all the homeless X amount of time to get their act together, or their asses are getting deported and their citizenship stripped.
I still think it's humorous how the Binny's in Lakeview has the Hennessey and Martel on lockdown behind the customer service counter. You have to axe for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Jan. 3 at 638 - profile them! Or just kick them out of your store. Certain places get constantly robbed by the homeless because for whatever reason they don't make them feel unwelcome there. If I owned a retail store in this city, you bet I would profile every homeless person coming into my store.
ReplyDeleteEvery black person, too. And before people cry racism, after the past few summers here (plus the massive, all negro, two hour long flash mob/looting of Mall of America on the day after xmas), I would say all retail establishments have a right to implement a "shopping while black" policy.
Police your teens, niggers, so we don't have to.
Most vagrants still alcohol. It's just what they do to get the booze they need.
