Around 1:53 a.m., a female victim on the 900 block of West Sheridan Road, about a block west of Gill Park, called police.
According to police dispatch, the woman said she was hit the head with a gun and was bleeding.
Preliminary information indicated the woman was assaulted during a robbery or an attempted robbery, but that information was not confirmed.
The suspect was described as a black man wearing a gray jacket.
If this story is legitimate, we have a feeling this suspect was involved in the home invasion on Cuyler Avenue.
