According to police dispatch, a weary Chicagoan dialed 911 after spotting several men asking for money at the intersection of North State Street and West Van Buren Street, around 6 p.m.
The concerned citizen reportedly said the men were wearing Santa hats and posing as firemen.
A responding officer verified that the men were indeed firefighters.
“I guess this person didn’t see the Chicago Fire Department van that dropped them ,” said the investigating officer.
Well… you can’t be too careful these days.

Fireman soliciting "donations" in THIS economy?! WHERE are the "donations" going? I need addresses, names and income statements.

Man I fucking HATE the bucket boys. Besides taking up space on the sidewalk & producing that horrible racket, they have their boys pick people's pockets & cut women's purses off their shoulders as people are distracted & watch them play.

That crazy Jeebus shouter by Old Navy actually came up to me while I was walking by and started screaming in my face. I thought it was going to get physically ugly, but he refrained from grabbing me and I was able to walk away. That sucker is disturbed.
