A November 14, 2011, YouTube video captured what appeared to be a brutal robbery on the 3600 block of West Madison Street, near Madison and Central Park Avenue.
In the video, a large black man wearing a purple or blue shirt with dark-colored pants, is seen stomping on a male victim’s head while the victim is lying on the ground.
Then the attacker goes through the victim’s pockets, taking what appears to be dollar bills, while an accomplice picks up what looks like the victim’s change.
According to YouTube user jeffro20gauge, the incident started over a traffic accident, but the victim was not involved in the traffic dispute.
Jeffro20guage claims he called 911, but he was put on hold, and when he flagged down a nearby patrol car, the officers said they were waiting for back up.
Based on the footage, it appears none of the motorists stopped to help the injured man -- they simply drove around him like roadkill.
