Cops: Thief punched woman in the face, snatched purse with religious books

Authorities are looking for a cowardly punk that struck a woman in the face and stole her purse in Chicago’s Far South Side, Jeffrey Manor neighborhood.

At approximately 7:08 p.m., a strong arm robbery was reported at 10300 South Torrence Avenue, near Torrence and East 103rd Street.

According to an internet search, a BP gas station is at that location.

Four male blacks approached the female victim, one of them hit the woman in the face and took her purse, said police.

The offender who struck the woman was wearing white pants, a dark-colored jacket, and glasses.

Authorities said the purse contained a small amount of cash, credit cards, and Jehovah’s Witnesses books.

After the robbery, all four offenders fled northbound on Torrence Avenue.

No further details are available.

  3. his white pants were actually his exposed, down-low briefs - the only thing they could see at night.
