Woman robbed at gunpoint by short, stout suspect


A woman was robbed Monday near the West Ridge, Rogers Park neighborhood border, said police.

Authorities said the armed robbery occurred around 2:36 a.m. on the 7000 block of North Ridge Avenue, near Ridge and Greenleaf.

A black male suspect in the company of a male Hispanic, displayed a 6-inch, silver revolver and stole an undetermined amount of cash from the victim, said police.

After the robbery, both suspects fled the scene in a white car of unknown make, model, or year.

The getaway vehicle was last seen going southbound on Ridge Avenue.

Investigators said the male black suspect is approximately 5’3” to 5’4 and 200 pounds.

The victim was unable to described the gunman's male Hispanic accomplice, said police.
