Uptown: Strong-arm robbery on Eastwood Ave.
Sunday, around 4:38 a.m., a man was attacked and robbed in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, said police.
The strong-arm robbery occurred on the 900 block of West Eastwood Avenue, near Eastwood and Sheridan Road, said authorities.
Investigators said a male black offender assaulted the victim and stole his briefcase and jewelry.
The suspect fled the scene in a white two-door coupe with tinted windows, said police.
The vehicle was last seen going northbound on Sheridan Road, then westbound on Leland.
The assailant has an African accent, short hair, and is believed to be in his 20s. He was wearing a white dress shirt and black pants.
The driver of the getaway car is also a male black. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap.
