The victim had been robbed at gunpoint on the 3100 block of North Sheffield Avenue, near Sheffield and Barry, said police.
The offender was described as a thin male black wearing dark clothing.
According to the victim, the thief was armed with a silver handgun.
Investigators said the crook stole the victim’s wallet and a cell phone.
