2 shot on same Englewood neighborhood street


Two people were injured during separate shootings on the city's South Side. 

At approximately 8:35 p.m., shots were fired on the 6400 block of South Normal Boulevard, said police.

Authorities said a bullet pierced the window of an Englewood neighborhood home at 6401 South Normal Blvd.

Police later confirmed a person was shot at that address.

A shooting also occurred on the 6000 block of South Normal.

Although few details were available regarding the second incident, police said the shootings did not appear to be related.

Both shooting victims were taken to St. Bernard Hospital at 326 West 64th Street.
