Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night….
Two suspects wearing raincoats, vandalized the Marilyn Monroe statue on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, said police.
The criminal damage to property occurred around 4 a.m., at 401 North Michigan Avenue.
According to an eyewitness, one suspect was wearing a dark-colored raincoat and the other offender was wearing a yellow raincoat.
Both vandals were on bicycles, said police.
No further details were given regarding the suspects' descriptions.
This is second time (that we know of) that the 26-foot-tall "Forever Marilyn" sculpture has been defaced.

Workers cleaning paint off statue:
What did they do to it? No details posted at the time I write this.
ReplyDeleteThey need to take that crap that is trying to pass as art down! It's bougie, misogynistic crap!
ReplyDeleteThey should throw this out along with the rest of the "trash" in this city. Don't we need more landfill somewhere?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous at 7:57 a.m., someone threw red paint on the statue's right leg.
ReplyDeleteI hate that thing.
ReplyDeleteIts an embarrassment to a city that likes to think of itself as "world class."
In the 1980s, similar vandalism occurred on Piccaso's "woman/broom" statue.
