1 arrested after man robbed at gunpoint in Uptown’s Buena Park

Around 1:28 a.m., a man was robbed in Buena Park, an enclave in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.

A black male suspect approached the victim on the 4100 block of North Broadway, near Broadway and Belle Plaine Avenue, said police.

Investigators said the offender brandished a black pistol and stole the victim’s wallet and keys.

The suspect was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap.

He was last seen running northbound on Broadway, then westbound on Buena Avenue.

At approximately 1:44 a.m., police located the thief hiding in an alley behind 4021 North Kenmore Avenue.

However, as of 2:10 a.m., authorities were still looking for the alleged weapon used in the crime.

The victim positively identified the offender and the suspect was placed under arrest.
