Around 3:08 a.m., a citizen reported a crime at the 3-way intersection where Clark, Sheffield, and Newport meet.
That puts the crime scene at approximately 3440 North Sheffield and 1000 West Newport.
According to the 911 caller, a black man wearing a gray shirt and camouflage pants, punched a white man wearing a long sleeve white shirt, in the face.
The third party caller said the suspect stole the victim’s cell phone.
At 3:20 a.m., police dispatch received a report that the victim was at the 7-Eleven at 3554 North Sheffield, near Sheffield and Addison.
Police made contact with the victim around 3:23 a.m.
A responding officer said the injured man was bleeding from the nose.
The officer also said the victim appeared to be extremely intoxicated and couldn’t remember what happened to him.
The victim did not have his cell phone or his wallet, said police.
No further details are available.

Although it shouldn't, I'm sure this happens all the time. Thanks for posting as a reminder for some not to not be so stupid.
ReplyDeleteWhile this may not be very relevant to this specific post, I feel the need to post this comment; I was taking care of an intoxicated friend this evening on the street next to Firefly (I think its Buckingham & Halsted). A group about 12 people in their late teens early twenties walked by and stared at us while mumbling something. About 5 minutes later the group had dispersed and some were directly across the street from us (just east of Kafka) and some were on the same side of the street but down a bit further. They appeared to be communicating to each other on their cell phones. As my friend was not moving, the group began to move in on us. I literally pushed my friend across Halsted to my car. I feel that the group thought we were both drunk and were easy targets. I just want people to be aware of their surroundings.

ReplyDeleteyou're right, it is dumb x 3, especially since bands of black savages will pounce on you. these spawn of illiterate, promiscuous black hood rat women have no morals no compunction re: their violent behavior. they are truly 'animals'; when will proper society stop incentivizing this behavior? since 75% of all black babies are born out of wedlock, 75% of these people shouldn't be alive; imagine how much less crime there would be if there were 75% fewer ghetto thugs roaming the streets- solve this 'whore fertility' problem by cutting off welfare at one baby, requiring drug testing, etc. we can just cordon them off on the southside (even more).
Halsted St. is in for a serious awakening. Sorry, but hearing "I've never been to Boystown before, I like this" while attempting to walk me off the sidewalk (ain't happening). The police writing parking tickets? This is absolutely hilarious here. HILARIOUS!

Halsted is turning into the new south side. Easy pickings for the ghetto thugs riding the ghetto express to prey on the people hanging out there. Maybe it's time to close the bars there at 2:00 AM. Maybe it's time for that victim to go to an AA meeting!
