At approximately 4:49 a.m., a man was robbed on a North Side, Red Line CTA “L”train, said police.
The robbery occurred as a CTA train pulled into the Rogers Park neighborhood Jarvis “L” station at 1523 West Jarvis Avenue, said authorities.
A male Hispanic offender grabbed a white male victim’s cell phone, as the suspect exited the train, said police.
The victim chased the offender, and the two men fought inside the train station, a witness told police.
Still, the thief managed to escape.
The crook was described as 5’5” to 5’7”, approximately 150 to 160 pounds, and shirtless.
His hair was shaved on the sides and the top was styled in a Mohawk or an Afro.
