18-year-old Kenneth Parron, an alleged Wendell Phillips Academy High School graduate, has been accused of participating in at least two robberies on the CTA Red Line.
On June 9, 2011, Parron and approximately four other suspects, reportedly robbed a man at the Clark/Division "L" station at 1200 North Clark Street.
Parron and his accomplices stole the CTA passenger's iPod, said police.
When the victim followed the purported thieves and offered them $30 in exchange for his stolen property, one of the suspects punched the victim and stole his money, too, said police.
Apparently, Parron was arrested Saturday, June 6, 2011, after a CTA employee spotted him hanging out at the Lakeview Dunkin Donuts at 3200 North Clark Street.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Parron resides on the 6500 block of South Oakley Avenue.
Investigators said Parron admitted to participating in the CTA robberies and a stolen cell phone was found in his possession.
I contacted Parron's mother, Tamira Parron for her reaction to her son's charges. So far, she has not responded.
However, yesterday, Tamira Parron posted the following message on her Facebook page:
"hello fb today was a bad day 4 me so sad rite now !!!!!!!!"

I always respond positively to this type when they address me as "Sir". NOT! That word is a dead giveaway to turn your head in Chicago. It's almost hilarious how White people are assumed to be rich and/or stupid here in 2011.

This mom is having a "bad day 4 me so sad rite now !!!!!!!!"..I have a lot of bad days because of parents NOT taking responsibility for the children they bring into this world. I have to watch my back, carry a defensive device and stay away from bad areas because of parents who spit children out and then forget about them and who then become one of the little ghetto thugs terrorizing us all! Bad day my ass!
