Cops: Woman attacked, sexually assaulted near IIT campus
A woman was attacked and sexually assaulted near Chicago's Illinois Institute of Technology, said police.
The attacked occurred around 5 p.m. on the 3300 block of South State Street, near West 33rd Street and South State Street, said police dispatch.
A stranger followed the woman and asked her for change, when she refused to give him money, the man attacked her, said police.
An offender described as a black man, picked the woman up off the ground, put her back on the pavement, grabbed her buttocks, and picked her up again, said police.
The offender was last seen running southbound towards the 35-Bronzeville-IIT "L" station at 16 East 35th Street.
If you witnessed this crime, please contact the police.

This is disgusting. I graduated from IIT. There was always problems with black vagrants hanging around the campus, bumming change off of the students.
ReplyDeleteI won't move downtown. This is sad. They did fix up the area alot--and, the time was summer 5pm? Daylight.
