Cops: AT&T employee kidnapped, carjacked at gunpoint


The details are sketchy, but an AT&T employee was reportedly kidnapped and carjacked on Chicago’s South Side.

The incident was brought to our attention at 4:34 p.m.

A black male offender wearing black jeans and a black shirt, with his face covered, approached the AT&T employee and forced the man into the back his company vehicle, said one report.

Then, according to the same report, the suspect dropped the AT&T employee off somewhere on 79th Street.

The exact location of where the incident began isn’t clear.

However, according to police dispatch, the AT&T truck was recovered at 6552 South Oakley Avenue, around 4:50 p.m.
