The incident occurred at the Sheridan Red Line station at 3940 North Sheridan Road, near the Uptown, Lakeview border.
Two black male offenders, purposely pushed the woman and her baby down a flight of stairs, said police. Then the suspects went through her diaper bag looking for money, said officials.
It's unclear if anything was stolen and the severity of the victims' injuries, if there were any, was not disclosed.
Both suspects are in their early twenties, approximately six-feet-tall, and 180 to 200 pounds.
One offender was wearing a gray shirt and baggy pants. The other criminal, who has dreadlocks and a beard, was wearing a red shirt and black baggy pants.
A direction of flight was not given.
Police are investigating.
OMG! What the hell is going on? Do they want to start a race war because people are getting pretty fed up with all this. How can these ghetto thugs be so evil and hateful? Where does this come from? Is something missing in their DNA? Hell will be full for sure but than, if these ghetto thugs aren't afraid of the police, they surly aren't afraid of hell!

ReplyDeleteTF-I walked into the aftermath of the hit and run on Kedzie/Logan today. The police had just covered the body. A woman who witnessed it said that a motorist hit a man trying to cross Kedzie; the man was thrown against the windshield and then his body went under the car. The driver attempted to flee north, dragging the victim's body. He hit a van, and then took off on foot. Lo and behold, there was an undercover cop at the station (prob. due to all of these robberies). He chased down the driver, finally having to pull his gun to get him to stop. The witness said they had to get the fire dept. to lift the car; it was impossible to get the body otherwise. A couple other people said the driver was drunk. I can add depraved and indifferent to human suffering...
the only way this will be solved is if concealed-carry permits are issued. Thes animals need to be shot. I cannot believe no one helped. A man with a gun can help.

Your right. Give Chicago concealed-carry permits with little or no training so they go off half cocked spraying bullets at these kids while most likely hitting innocent bystanders. So my message is to these particular individuals commiting these crime and those planning to commit more crimes. you are being watched, any large group of young males you will have the police called on you and you will targeted. there will be armed individuals that will not think twice about defending them selves against attacks. this is a shame because everyone wants to have freedom to walk down the street safely. ReplyDeleteThe dreadlocks and beard is a good distinction of what the person may look like. But people need to start paying attention to the assailants' shoes. One of the best things to do is remember their estimated shoe size and what their shoes look like. People can easily change clothes on any given day, but shoes, though they can be changed easily, are less often changed.

I even was at the Chase ATM afterwards and saw not one police car called during that time. Also note: Last night I witnessed a gang of white youth wilding down Sheridan down the Schiller drug corridor(twix montrose and wilson). Now that they see Blacks getting away with it and getting the glory, they're playing a game of "one-uppens" and testing the waters for themselves...AND...they are younger.

I was at BORDERS BOOKSTORE and purchased a $7 item. Gave the cashier who was a black guy $20. He gave me $3 back in change. I pointed out he made a mistake and he disputed it. I protested. He called the manager, who was black also and they called the police. the Officer, who was black told me to leave and never return. I left without my $10. What could I do?
