Rogers Park: Shooting at Lunt and Ashland
Gunshots were heard on the 7000 block of North Ashland Avenue near Ashland and Lunt, around 8:53 p.m.
A Chicago police officer in the area also heard the shots.
Witnesses saw a male black wearing a red t-shirt and a male black on a bicycle, fleeing the area.
One tipster said the shooters were possibly hiding in an alley behind 1644 West Morse.
At 9:04 p.m., officers stopped a black male subject near Ashland and Lunt. It’s unclear if an arrest was made.
Investigators found shell casings at 1639 West Lunt.
Someone driving a gold, Mitsubishi Eclipse may have also been involved in the shooting, said police.
