Van hits, runs over several people on Northwest Side sidewalk


Around 9:34 a.m., several people were injured in an apparent car accident on Chicago's Northwest Side.

5 people were run over on a sidewalk on the 4800 block of North Central Park Avenue, near Lawrence and Central Park, said one report.

According to one source, the accident may have been captured on a nearby surveillance camera.

Preliminary information indicates at least one ambulance went to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, and another patient was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital's trauma center.

No further details are available.
