Chicago Gay Pride Parade floats' tires slashed, cut

The tires on more than 30 floats were slashed, reports Windy City Times.

The damaged tires were discovered around 5 a.m., just hours before the 42nd Annual Gay Pride Parade was set to begin In Chicago.

Chuck Huser, a float provider at Associated Attractions, 4834 South Halsted Street, said he believes the floats' tires were slashed during a hate crime.

The start of the Pride Parade may delayed, said Windy City Times.

  1. Folks need to stop being so damn judgemental and malicious. Whoever slashed this float needs to stop being such a tool and get over it already.

  2. this is just hideous. its a shame when a group can't even peaceably assemble and have a fun time celebrating without someone acting like they don't have any decency and doing some crap like this. i swear, sometimes religion can be a terrible thing.

  3. There were 51 floats with their tires slashed. They were in a warehouse in the 4800 block of SOUTH Halsted....let me guess!

Fights all over the place as well.

How pathetic and a NATIONAL embarrassment...oh wait, the ghetto thugs that did this have no sense of what embarrassment is!

  4. I doubt this was a religious thing, more like the ghetto thugs who have been terrorizing the ENTIRE north side. I saw many comments in the local papers that said "they were going to cause trouble". Ghetto thugs just seem to be hateful, unruly, lazy, morally bankrupt bottom feeders. They are really ruining it for the educated, hardworking, contributing and law abiding members of the black culture. Very sad.
