When the smoke cleared, a man was lying in the middle of the street at 8201 South Exchange Avenue near East 82nd Street and Exchange.
The address belongs to a business called Four Star Food and Liquor.
Preliminary information indicates a man was possibly shot in the head.
Witnesses described the shooter as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
He was last seen running eastbound on East 82nd Street.
At the time of this report, police were reviewing surveillance camera footage from Four Star Food and Liquor.
According an officer at the scene, the shooting was caught on tape.
The shooting victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
The gunman is still at large.

You will stop asking why why why once you accept the truth about why things are really the way they are. Again i say, it is sad because blacks do not see yet the trap that has been laid before them. no one is really trying to stop the crime because the plan is to destroy blacks, especially the men. the time will come when they WAKE UP in fact we are getting close to it, pay attention.

It was taught towanda by the white man. I don't play the nimbers game, i go back facts, history and to understand why anything is in the condition it is today, you have to know and understand history. i know if blacks wonder about themselves, white have to wonder why they are the way they are. that just makes sense. not saying you will accept that, but it is the true. Like i said, it is said that the black youth do not understand, the plan to destroy them but I will keep praying for them to come out this slumber they are in, we are all in. these are critical times and it will get worse before it gets better.
