A citizen standing on the 6700 block of North Western Avenue near Western and Pratt Boulevard, was shot in the arm with a paintball, said police.
The offenders, who were simply described as youths, were driving a silver car.
Several minutes later, and several blocks away, a 911 caller spotted five men in a gray Toyota "shooting at people on the street".
The Toyota was last seen near the intersection of Damen and Devon Avenues.
A detailed description of the car's occupants was not provided.

Ya know, this is also a dangerous "thrill". Anyone ever get hit with one of these paint balls? When the paint gun came out in the 80's, my youngest son, who was 7 at the time, got hit in the face, just below his eye, by one of these paint balls and it caused his cheek to swell up. Not to mention the pain inflicted on a little child because some jerk was having some fun.
