Onlookers stare as Tysha Jones bleeds to death. |
Thursday, June 9, 2011, around 5:20 p.m., Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, New York, was jammed pack with young people trying to cool off on a hot day.
That Thursday, all New York public schools were closed.
Then, without warning or rhyme or reason, eight shots were fired, leaving one girl dead and four others wounded.
According to various New York news reports, 16-year-old Tysha Jones, a junior at Norman Thomas High School, begged her mom to let her go to the beach that day.
The seemingly harmless decision cost the girl her life.
An eyewitness said the shooting started, because someone looked at a group Crips, a notorious street gang, the wrong way.
Even though there were witnesses and cellphone cameras everywhere, police have yet to make an arrest, or even talk to a suspect.
WARNING! THE FOLLOWING VIDEO CONTAINS VIOLENT IMAGES, FOUL LANGUAGE, AND RACIAL SLURS.
This is a result of the gangsta thug culture which has been growing in this country like a cancer.
ReplyDeleteNotice some of the people making comments in the video seem to be blaming the police, while others hamper their efforts. The cops didn't do this, their own rap-listening homies did it. Place the blame right where it belongs, on the culture of criminality.
sir you just said a mouthful! young black people are in serious trouble and they are too blind to see the thug life has them dropping like flies.
ReplyDeletewho created this "gangsta culture".you all should take some time and learn about the Tavis Stock Institute and you will find out where this so called mentality comes from. What the black youth fail to realize is that they are not wrestling with flesh and blood but with something more wicked. Unfortunatley, it is out of control and I repeat that if things don't start changing soon, it will get worse and no one is exempt. This is also goes for whites, hispanics, asians and every other people that live here. Wake Up because to keep trying to blame blacks for the condition they have found themselves in is not going to get and they, we will react but instead of hurting each other, we should hurt businesses because that is the only thing that scares the white man.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get back to Metro Detroit ("the most segregated place in the U.S."). They live over there, we live over here.... via distinct boundaries.
ReplyDeleteSad it has to be that way but after living in Chicago for 5 years, I believe that's the way it should be.
This video is nothing short of Edgewater or the Magnificent Mile except the gunfire.
Hey, as I wrote this......Chicago made msnbc.com on TV about your "flashmob" crime on the "magnificent mile".
That 20 ft. tall roaming camera attached to a flashing po-po paddy wagon in front of the Water Tower Mall is a hoot. Sincerely, I give the police credit for that but it doesn't do your city much justice.
At least the "can somebody get me a SAMICH, Imma just need a Samich" guy is gone (after 3 months).
So, I just quit my 2nd job in the Water Tower place today. Being there and especially leaving at night is not safe, just not worth it. Gang graffitti sprayed in the fitting rooms, fights, racial intimidation, "security" and management aloof to the obvious problems.
Good Luck Chicago!
There were 1000 people there but I bet that no one saw anything.
ReplyDeleteThe Truth,
ReplyDeleteI was betting the same thing. Pathetic! Cowards! Animals!
