Second fire at Lakeview building


Two days after a fire erupted at 913 West Sheridan Road, firefighters were back on the scene at 2:33 a.m. Saturday morning.

This time, a fire was reported at 901 West Sheridan Road near Sheridan and Freemont.

The address is part of the same Lakeview building that caught fire several days ago.

An officer approaching the scene said he could smell the smoke a block away.

According to a 911 caller, the fire was in a third floor apartment.

At the time of this report, it wasn't clear if there were any injuries or displacements.

Firefighters were still on the scene at 3:41 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
