Cabdriver pepper sprayed in West Ridge - Taxi driver beaten, robbed in Lincoln Park
A cabdriver was maced or pepper sprayed in Chicago’s West Ridge neighborhood, around 12:51 a.m.
The exact location of the incident is not clear. However, the crime may have occurred near the intersection of Western and Birchwood.
After the taxi driver was sprayed with a chemical agent, he drove several blocks to a nearby IHOP at 100 Asbury Avenue in Evanston, Illinois.
From there, the driver was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.
At the time of this report, investigators were interviewing the driver for more details.
Thirty minutes later, at 1:21 a.m., a cabdriver was reportedly beaten and robbed in Chicago’s Clybourn Corridor, an enclave in Lincoln Park.
According to police dispatch, a taxi driver was attacked and pulled from his cab at 2511 North Clybourn Avenue near Clybourn and Terra Cotta Place.
An ambulance was called to the scene.
No further details are available.

You need to correct a serious mistake. There's no such intersection of Asbury & Birchwood in Chicago.
