  1. I looked at a nice apartment in this Rogers Park place a few years ago. Nice location right on the water but I knew I'd be relying on the Jarvis stop to get me around. It was the only time a leasing agent called me back - repeatedly - to ask "if you were still interested?". Dead giveaway to stay out. Sorry, just needed to be said about this great place with such "diversity".

  2. P.S. a drive-by (before I got rid of my car) of the Jarvis stop at 6:00 p.m. told me to look elsewhere.

  3. The northside is becoming a dump. African-American thugs and Latino punks have ruined it!

  5. Seems this criminal got hisself a handgun somehow (probably bought it at a gun store out of state - rednecks) - time to make handguns illegal in Chicago. If handguns were illegal then criminals wouldn't be able to get them see? They should also make carrying these hand guns illegal which would basically disarm, what? - oh, they've done that? Let me check with my liberal friends and get back to you. Ok, they say that guns are just plain scary and they will not socialize with gun owners.

  6. Safety is always in our own hands. I have been a resident of Rogers Park since 2003 and lived 3 years in Andersonville before that. Sad to say, my house in Andersonville was robbed twice in three months while I was living there. I am fortunate not to have similar experience since I moved here in Rogers Park. Accidents can happen anywhere and the best way to clean up the neighborhood is for everybody to call 911 each time you see any thing suspicious. I do that even when I am not in my neighborhood or just driving around. It's actually an advice from a friend of mine who is a Chicago police officer. It becomes a police watch area. Do not walk around with any earphones or headphones on esp.at night ar late afternoon.Hold you key like a spike between your fingers ready to punch someone's face in case somebody tries to mug you. Above all, BE ALERT!!!
