A robbery suspect was shot and killed by an off-duty Chicago police officer dressed like a clown, reports Chicago Breaking News.
The off-duty cop was dressed up for a daycare fundraiser on the 8700 block of South Damen Avenue.
According to one source, the fundraiser was for the Kiddie Kottage Daycare and Kindergarten at 1946 West 87th Street.
When the officer, still dressed as a clown, left the function around 11 p.m. Friday, a male suspect allegedly asked the officer for money.
The officer reportedly told the man he didn't have any money.
According to Chicago Breaking News, the robbery suspect pulled a gun on the off-duty cop.
During a struggle, the officer took the suspect's gun and shot the suspect to death, said the news report.
The officer received minor injuries.
