Lakeview: Woman groped; man struck with a bottle

Police are looking for a man who sexually touched a woman in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.

The sexual offense occurred around 12:53 a.m., on the 3100 block of North Halsted Street near Halsted and Briar Place.

A portly Hispanic man riding a bike, rode up and touched the victim sexually, said police.

The female victim chased the suspect southbound on Halsted, where she lost sight of him.

The offender, who was riding a brown or dark-colored mountain bike, has brown, shoulder-length curly hair.

He was last seen wearing a red shirt with a black stripe.

While police were investigating the sexual offense at Halsted and Briar Place, a male victim, involved in an unrelated incident, was located at 3133 North Halsted Street.

According to an officer at the scene, the man was struck on the back of the head with a bottle.

Based on preliminary information, the man was assaulted at Belmont and Sheffield.

His attacker was described a black man with a "moon tattoo" on his face.

The victim told police his assailant approached him from behind, pulled his "wig" over his face, and hit him on the head.

At the time of this report, the portly Hispanic man was still at large.

It’s unclear if the black man with the facial tattoo was apprehended and arrested.
