Lakeview liquor store robbed at gunpoint



Police are looking for two men who robbed a Lakeview neighborhood store at gunpoint.

Wednesday, June 22, 2011, around 11:19 p.m., two black men robbed Eastgate Wine and Spirits at 446 West Diversey Parkway, near Diversey and Pine Grove, said police.

One offender is approximately 6’1” with a thin build. He was wearing a black derby-style hat, a white t-shirt, dark-colored pants, and sunglasses.

The second thief is about 5’11” and was wearing a dark brown or black hooded sweatshirt.

According to police, the thieves displayed a blue steel revolver and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

After the robbery, a potential witness spotted two men getting into a black car parked in a nearby alley.

    And these assailants must've been masked, because there is no proper description of these guys. They will strike again!

  3. I TOTALLY doubt they were WHITE but nice try..NOT! Have noticed there are way more ghetto thugs prowling around down there lately. Started in the last couple years and has only gotten worse. How unfortunate that they HATE their neighborhood SO much they have to come into the north side to prey in great neighborhoods because theirs SUCK!
