According to police dispatch, the crime took place at the IHOP at 5929 North Lincoln Avenue.
A male Hispanic gunman stole well over $100.00 dollars and fled the scene, said investigators.
The crook is 25 to 30-years-old with a light complexion. He is clean-shaven and has short hair.
The offender, who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, was last seen running eastbound through a nearby alley.
No further details are available.

That address is almost by Peterson and Lincoln intersection. Isn't Avondale further south by Logan Square? I would've thought that was more like the North Park or Lincoln Village area.
Avondale is north of the Logan Square neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteAccording to three separate maps, Avondale is bordered by Addison Street on the north, Diversey Avenue on the south, Western Avenue on the east, and Pulaski Road on the west.
I love IHOP, but I only go when the sun is up!
Yeah I see what your seeing. I click on 5929 N. Lincoln in G Maps, and its taking me to the IHOP on Diversey and California, which I know is not the same IHOP that's on Lincoln. I use to work at the American Mattress 6001 N. Lincoln Ave which is across the street from 5929 N. Lincoln, so I don't understand why its saying that address is Avondale when it's not. Weird! Google maps is trippin'! Lol!
