Gunman spotted at Uptown gas station
Shortly after 5 a.m., a citizen reported a man with a gun at an Uptown neighborhood gas station.
The 911 caller said a man at the BP gas station at 755 West Lawrence Avenue, near Lawrence and Marine Drive, was carrying a gun.
The alleged gunman, a black man, was in the company of several people, one of whom was described as a Hispanic man.
Around 5:13 a.m., police announced that six people were stopped at 951 West Lawrence Avenue.
Authorities also recovered a gun.
No further details are available.

This group was probably preempted from carrying out some crime by getting apprehended prior to being able to do so. Good thing.
ReplyDeleteNothing much will happen to them now. Can't lock them up for what they may have intended to do.
The cops may be able to lock up the one holding the gun. The rest of them will walk.
ReplyDeleteIf the justice system DOES NOT get behind the police and start giving stiffer sentences, the police are wasting their time. Second chances don't work with ghetto thugs, it just gives them another opportunity to make someone else a victim!
