Police: Near North Side store just wants their bra back

The things people will steal.

Two young shoplifters stole a leopard-print bra from the Victoria’s Secret at 923 West North Avenue, in Chicago’s Near North Side neighborhood.

The theft was reported around 8:17 p.m.

A store employee described the thieves as a black male and a black female juvenile.

The male suspect was wearing a black hat and a green jacket.

The female offender was wearing a short ponytail and a light purple-colored zip up sweater.

According to police, Victoria’s Secret isn’t interested in prosecuting the shoplifters, they only want their bra back.

Police are investigating.

    What a great message to send..we won't prosecute, just bring the stuff back. Since when is that an option? Something sounds just a little fishy with this one.

    Maybe the clerk will be penalized if management finds out about the theft. Maybe there have been several incidents during this clerk's shift.

    Or they could just want to the thief to come forward, and then will press charges. This was our scheme years ago when I managed a music store and someone stashed the goods.
