Woman steals keys from Avondale Walgreens
A female crook stole keys from a Northwest Side store. Police believe she intends to use them to steal merchandise from other locations.
The keys to a merchandise display case at the Avondale neighborhood Walgreens, 3424 West Belmont Avenue, were stolen at 10:01 a.m. Police said the keys are “universal” and open similar locks at other Walgreens stores.
The suspect was described an African-American woman wearing glasses, a green jacket, and blue jeans. She is 5’5” to 5’9” and approximately 189 lbs, with a heavy build.
According to police dispatch reports, the offender may have fled the scene in a black, newer model Cadillac.
Most of Walgreens' big ticket items are kept under lock and key.

So, did this thugette also steal a Walgreens smock because I doubt she'll be able to walk up to the "sonic toothbrushes" and just open it up. Has anyone seen what is kept behind locked displays? Electric shavers, electric toothbrushes and things like that. All the other electric stuff is usually behind the counter by the cashiers. What's the point of stealing these keys??? On the other hand, they will steal ANYTHING!
ReplyDeleteYep! Thieves will steal anything that isn't nailed down.
ReplyDeleteSmall food/drink items like coffee, cocoa, and Abuelita are locked up too.
ReplyDeleteImpressed :)
